Terroir & Vines
The vineyard of Mas de Lunès is planted on a chalky-clay soil covered with chalky round pebbles and clayey marl terraces. The warm and dry Mediterranean climate is tempered by the sea winds. The estate is located in the middle of a well preserved ecosystem of Mediterranean scrubland.

Vinification & Ageing

The grapes are machine harvested with on board sorting during the night  so as to keep the aromatic freshness of the grapes. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 25°C. A daily pumping over, longer and more frequent at the beginning of fermentation allows a soft extraction. The maceration is short. The ageing lasts 1 year in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting notes

The wine has a red ruby colour and an expressive nose with red berry (blackcurrant, cherry), spices and mint aromas. The palate is fruity and round with smooth tannins.

Food & Wine paring

Serve at 16-17°C with all sorts of meats (stewed or grilled), with a cheese or a chocolate dessert.
